first of all sory for wrutung in english
im on my laptop at work and i have no hebrew on my dell keyboard

i just wanted to know if any of you maybe martin have some information
on the d-link dsm-520 multimedia HD player
im planing to get one so i can see all the HD content i downloaded from the internet on my new pioneed plasma
i also looked at a multimedia player from other companies
but this one has HD support and HDMI conection

כיום רצוי לדאוג למוצר מבוסס Sigma EM8622L או אפילו הצ'יפ החדש: EM8624L.

לדעתי ה-DLINK אינו מהזן החדש הזה. מדובר במספר קטן של מוצרים, כולל JVC SRDVD100U (שדובר עליו לא מזמן) וכן SNAZZIO 350 ועוד מספר מוצרים.

yes but the jvc is more like a dvd that you can wire to a computer or a usb-2 device
and the D-LINK is like a wireless station that conects your computer to your plasma with HDMI conection and with some nice menues lets you control all the content of your hard drive wirelessly
so i think you are mixing 2 things
this is more like a smart wireless station
but i dont know if you got to check this one or something like it
in d-link israel i could not find this product or something like it


well bottom line is that if someone has it ore saw it in work and can give me some information or tips as to should i buy it
that would be more than welcome

אכן קראתי אך לא זכור לי שיש לו יכולות wifi

ממה שקראתי על ה-D-LINK בפורומים רבים בעולם, יש לו בעיות רבות בתחום של Video streaming. רבים הגיעו למסקנה שליישומי אאודיו הוא בסדר אך להרצת וידאו עדיף לקחת מכשיר אחר.
בנוסף, התמיכה של D-Link במוצר הינה לקוייה ביותר והחברה אינה מתייחסת לטענות המשתמשים.
בקיצור, הרושם שקיבלתי הוא שעדיף להתרחק ממכשיר זה.

אפשר לגרום לו לעבוד עם WIFI...

יש את הSNAZZIO 350 שיש לו WIFI, ואת ה-JVC אפשר בקלות להפוך ל-WIFI בעזרת WIFI ETHERNET ADAPTER. למחשב של הילדים שלי יש חיבור כזה דרך קופסא קטנה של ASUS שנותנת להם 802.11G למרות שלמחשב שלהם יש כרטיס ETHERNET רגיל.
