שדרוג ל- Multi Zone

ברשותי Pioneer DVD-510H שהובא מחו"ל, והוא תומך רק ב- Zone 3, איך אני אוכל להתאימו ל- Multi Zone, או לפחות ל- Zone 2 ? הסוכן המקומי של פיוניר, לא יכול לעזור לי, וכמו כן גם מעבדות שונות. שמעתי שיש שיטות לעשות זאת דרך השלט רחוק, ואו דרך תוכנה כל שהיא שלא ידועה לי.אולי מישהו מכם יוכל לייעץ לי ? תודה.

אתה צריך PALM או מכשיר דומה. ישנם קודים ותוכנות.
אבל לשרות בארץ יש שלט מיוחד. הם יכולים לפתוח אותו, אבל אולי לא מעוניינים כדי לא לעודד רכישות בחו"ל (הפסד שלהם).
תנסה לפנות למשרדים של ט.ר. ישירות ולבקש פתיחה ל multizone בתשלום!
אולי לא יקחו הרבה. שווה לנסות. ואם לא, אז תשיג לך פאלם וקצת זמן פנוי כדי לשחק עם זה.

בכל מיקרה, זהו המידע שיש לי. באנגלית כי יותר קל להבין ככה. אתה צריך תוכנה בשם OmniRemote ו PDA כלשהו.

You need:
PDA w/Palm OS 3.0 or later
OmniRemote Pro (http://www.pacificneotek.com/)

Step By Step Guide:

1. Install OmniRemote

2. Export the current Category (should be TV) to the memo pad

3. Modify the "Button name-0" data with the following code:

4. The best way to do this is to save this text to a text file and use a palm os text editor that can read from an SD card. Copy the text into clipboard and then paste the text in the memo pad. I used TxEdit: http://www.jardesignky.com/eng/pda/txedit.shtml

5. Import the database in omniremote

6. Turn on your DVD Player and press 0. DVD Player turns off and is now region free.

או עוד הסבר שהיה לי:

Pioneer DV-575A regionfree hack (it's the same as for the Pio DV-454):
You'll need a PalmOS-based PDA (or a friend who owns one) and the free Trial-version of Omniremote Pro (v 2.14). On your Palm, start Omniremote, go to Advanced, then "export Category".
You'll then find that file (Category TV) under the Memopad-files of your Palm/Clié. Then do a Hotsync and in the Palm Desktop (4.0) you'll find that file again. In that text you'll find a code for each Remote control button. Choose one (e.g. "Enter") and replace the code with the one found under vcdhelp.com or remotecentralcom (Google: Omniremote 454).
Close and re-Hotsync. Put your Pioneer -on- ("No Disc"), hold your Palm about 10 cm in front of the display and press the button of which you had replaced the code.
If successful (no use pressing 50 times, should work at once or never), the DV-575A shuts off, then reloads. Bingo !
Note: the display will still show RC2 after the hack.
Note2: forget the Nokia/Pocket PC/WINLIRC hacks (tried them all without success)

Press "ENTER" on the remote control.
Press "DISPLAY", then "CONDITIONS".
Press the 0 button on the Remote Control for Region free, or 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2 and so on
Press "DISPLAY" then "SETUP" on the remote control.
Your DVD player is now region free.

2nd method :
Power on the player without DVD inside.
Press "SETUP" on the remote control.
Select "GENERAL" then "Basic".
Press "ENTER" on the remote control.
Press "DISPLAY".
Press the 0 button on the Remote Control for Region free, or 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2 and so on.
Press "CONDITIONS" then "SETUP" on the remote control.
Your DVD player is now region free.

3rd method :
Insert the DVD you want to play.
"Bad Region" will be displayed on screen.
Press and keep "Top Menu" and in the same moment press "Menu".
The player search and the movie start.
You'll have to repeat the operation each times.

Turn On unit and remove any disc in the tray
Press the Setup button on the remote control.
Move over to General using the arrow keys
Select Basic
Press Display - this will display your region and firmware version.
Press Condition/Memory (nothing is displayed or changed on the screen)
Press the Region # required (i.e. 2 for Region 2 etc)
Press Menu to store

ניסת את השיטה עם התוכנה OmniRemote? כל מי שניסה ככה הצליח. היה מדובר בדגמים אחרים, אבל זה עבד לכולם.
