The following local currencies are now supported by Steam, and as such these regions have new prices in line with the pricing matrix. As above we have submitted the changes to allow these currencies and expect them to be approved in the coming days and weeks. The actual time will depend on Steam of course.

Edit: These changes have been approved by valve now and should be live. However we can not confirm this and if you do not see your currency it is likely that Valve has not officially launched them yet and may be waiting for more developers. If that's the case there's no timescale for the launch but we'd certainly expect them this year, probably in the coming weeks.

Steam will soon be priced in Israeli New Shekel!

If your Steam wallet has any money in it on the 13th of November, your USD balance will be converted to ILS, at a conversion rate dictated by market value at the time of conversion.

To view your account balance, simply log into your Steam client or the Steam website at http://www.steampowered.com. Once you have logged in, you will see your balance in the upper-right corner next to your account name.

כל החברים שלי בהיסטריה מזה,
לא נראה לי שיש עם עם כל כך מעט אמונה במטבע שלו (:

הבעיה שעל הדרך הם גם העלו מחירים. לפחות כל המשחקים שאני בדקתי עולים עכשיו כ-5% יותר (באופן מוזר זה לא אחוז קבוע אלה שונה ממשחק למשחק).

לפחות עדיין אפשר לקנות steam keys בדולרים מחנויות רשמיות אחרות (כגון humblebundle).

חבל פשוט חבל.

עריכה: בנוסף, עכשיו שמתי לב שלא מעט משחקים בכלל אין מחיר כרגע ולכן אי-אפשר לקנות. מאד מקווה שזה זמני.

לפי זה המחירים נקבעים ע"י "המפתחים" בשקלים ולא ישתנו לפי שערי מטבע (ולא כמו שחשבתי קודם ש-steam פשוט עושה את המרות המטבע בעצמו לפי השער הנוכחי). מה שכנראה מסביר למה לחלק מהמשחקים עדיין אין מחיר. שיטה מאד תמוהה בעיני במיוחד בהנתן גודל השוק של ישראל....
