[של SONY] לבין מקרנים של JVC ושל EPSON שהם FAUX 4K בכדי להוכיח
את ההבדלים באיכות התמונה. ובכדי לסתום פיות הם מזמינים מומחים של היצרנים
האחרים כדי להתקין ולכייל את המקרנים.

I attended the morning comparison and left after about 15 minutes. It was like nails on a chalkboard. When I get home I will post more but the comparison was as far from fair as possible. I checked the menu settings on the JVC when we walked in before the demo and it was in a complete default mode for all settings with all enhancements on high and reference cinema filter in place. So nowhere near accurate or setup to maximize potential whereas the Sonystuff was dialed in quite nicely. They weren't even close to brightness matches either, which was blatantly obvious with the 5000ES. The whole thing was a disgrace to objective comparisons.
The guy running it said they offer JVC and Epson the chance to come setup the projectors. Last year I was in JVC's booth when the guy running it came by. Chris from JVC introduced me and I informed the guy that I happened to have ALL my calibration stuff with me and that I would be happy to calibrate and setup both projectors to display their best image and would be happy to do it with their oversight. Chris thought this would be a great idea and they said that would be great but never got back to me or JVC. So salesmanship in full effect at the demo and lots of misinformation spread. Really sad.
