חברת Popcorn Hour מחזירה לחיים את סדרת ה- V הזולה ומציגה את ה- VTEN, זהו סטרימר מבוסס NMJ, אשר רץ מעל מעבד Sigma Designs מדגם SMP8757 ומכיל תמיכה ב- UHD.
מפרט הסטרימר לא יוצא דופן, עם חיבוריות HDMI, זוג מחברי USB 2.0, מחבר eSATA עבור כוננים חיצוניים ומארז אלומיניום אשר יאפשר עבודה ללא מאוורר. Bitstream לפורמטי האודיו המתקדמים קיים כאן כמובן ומכיוון שהסטרימר מבוסס על התוכנה של Popcorn Hour, קיימת תמיכה בהצגת תלת מימד מלא מכותרי Blu-ray 3D עם כתוביות בעברית, אחד התכונות החשובות עבור אלו אשר רוצים את ה- Top עבור תלת מימד ולא מוצאים פתרון לזה בצורה טבעית ב- Kodi.
החברה מודעת היטב לשאר הפתרונות הנפוצים כיום, כגון מתחרי ה- Kodi הזולים, לסטיקים ולתפוצה הגודלת של מכשירים מבוססים Bay Trail-T ומטרת ה- VTEN להוות פתרון למי שמעדיף לעבוד עם פתרון Plug & Play ישר מהקופסה.

לצערי גם הקושחה הזו לא פתרה אצלי את הבעיה שבעת חיבור דרך רסיבר ימאהה (rx-v1800) למסך, הסטרימר לא מצליח להציג תמונה על המסך (הוא נתקע מיד לאחר הלוגו). רק אם אני מאלץ אותו באמצעות חיבור אחר שרזולוציה מוזרה עם קצב רענון ספציפי (720/60) אז המסך מצליח להראות משהו.
זה לא קורה לי בחיבור ישיר לשני מסכים אחרים, רק בשרשור דרך הרסיבר.
מה שמפתיע זה שהפופקורן 300 מתחבר בלי שום בעיה דרך אותו רסיבר (הנחתי שזו תהיה פשוט החלפה של אחד באחד) לאותה טלויזיה.
פניתי לחברה פעמיים וקיבלתי תשובה של או להחזיר את המכשיר או לחכות לקושחה שתפתור את זה....
לצערי להחזיר לא רלוונטי... אז אני ממתין כל פעם לקושחה חדשה
