האם ניתן לקחת כבל שמיועד לקומפוננט (עכבה של 75 אוהם) ולהשתמש בו ככבל RCA?

ברמה העקרונית לכבלי אודיו אנאלוגי יש עיכבה של 50 אוהם שהיא שונה מזו של 75 אוהם המשמשים את הכבלים לוידיאו או אודיו דיגיטלי. חוסר בהתאמת עיכבה עלול לגרום להחזרים של האות החשמלי ולפגוע באיכות השידור.
ברמה המעשית התאמת עיכבה חשמלית חשובה הרבה יותר בוידיאו ובאודיו דיגיטלי המועבר ב S/PDIF מאשר באודיו אנאלוגי רגיל ואין מניעה להשתמש בכבלים עם עיכבה של 75 אוהם ככבל RCA רגיל לחיבור אנאלוגי של אודיו כל עוד מדובר במרחקים קצרים יחסית שאינם נמדדים בעשרות מטרים.

אני תוהה אם זה יותר טוב לא מכבל פשוט, אלא מכבל ברמה בינונית. (taralab של 50 דולר).
הכבל הזה של QED נמכר במחיר מצחיק בחו"ל (RP של 200 פאונד ונמכר בהרבה פחות) ונחשב לכבל מהסדרה הכי גבוהה שלהם.

yes you can use Signature component video cables for audio but..... they are very different from Signature Audio because they are co-axial 75 ohm impedance cables optimised for video transmission and so behave very differently to the pseudo-balanced directionally shielded configuration in the Audio cables. With the video cable you have an electromagnetic screen which protects against external high current noise signals (hum induced by nearby mains cables) but it cannot protect against high external voltage noise signals such as static discharge, high voltage switching (thermostats, boiler pilot lights etc) so well as say Signature Audio S - which has an electrostatic screen. This cable also features a psuedo -balanced twisted pair arrangement which confers further noise immunity on the tiny audio signal by taking advantage of the common mode rejection obtained by placing both signal and return conductors in the same physical space (twisted pair).
On balance I would leave the video cables for the component video and invest in some dedicated audio interconnects instead
