I will share with you the settings that we arrived with after using the Spears & Munsil calibration disc and a little fine-tuning by eye. Please note that this is a rather "un-scientific" way of calibrating a TV and should generally be avoided. Even a basic TV calibration is highly depended on your viewing environment and can vary from TV to TV (event the same model).
We calibrated this TV in an almost completely dark room, and arrived with the following settings:
AV mode: Movie
Backlight: 0
Contrast: +25
Brightness: +1
Color: +10
Tint: 0
Sharpness: 0
In the ADVANCED menu, the following settings were chosen:
Color temp: low
Motion enhancement: off
Active contrast: off
Film mode: off
Digital noise reduction: off
