Bugs fixed:

1) '5.1 Bypass' muting problem.
2) Front panel display not updating when certain RS232 commands are sent.
3) Audio stream detection problems with Upsampling = ON (related to certain hardware sources)

Functionality changes:

"Small" speaker cut-off frequency range changed to span from 40Hz to 120 Hz (10Hz steps).

PCM (SPDIF) 'silent detect' can now be set (OSD, Other Options) to either "slow" or "Fast".
"Slow" avoids silence being detected between tracks on CDs. Silent detect set to "Fast"
should be used when playing a disc with a mixture of normal PCM and HDCD material.

Easy access to Q-SET Lip Sync Menu by pressing "Q-SET" followed by "UP" key.

Discrete IR codes for in/out of standby have been included.
Into Standby: 121 (0x79h)
Out of Standby: 127 (0x7Fh)

RS232 codes for Upsampling and DAC filter has been added.
filter 0 = dac filter slow
filter 1 = dac filter fast
upsample 0 = upsampling off
upsample 1 = upsampling on


NOTE: There is an omission in the users manual on page 15 "Display On/Off".
It is possible to set the brightness of the display: Press the "Display" button on the remote
control and use the Left/Right navigation keys to set the brightness (off, 25%,50%,75% and 100%).
Factory default is 75%.

רציתי לציין שמקרה נדיר של תמיכה מעולה של היצרן,
הם תיקנו את כל הבאגים ששלחתי אליהם, ואף הוסיפו כמה פיצ'רים נחמדים שגם ביקשתי.
כל הכבוד.

עם Anchor Bay לא היה לי ניסיון כזה מוצלח, נתקעתי עם באג מעצבן ב-RS232 , אבל הייתי מספיק נודניק והם מחליפים לי VP20 ל-VP50PRO בסוף. - בתוספת תשלום קטנה..

יש להם כבר מודל עם הפורמטים החדשים?

לא, אבל זה הדגם שמקבל 192/24 דרך HDMI 1.2
כלומר ,אם קונים נגן בלו-ריי עם פענוח ל-LPCM (אני עם PS3) - אין שום בעיה

The new version of the Audiolab 8000AP will be known as the 8200AP.

The 8200AP presents a natural evolution of the 8000AP and some of its features include:
New HDMI 1.3 PCB with four inputs one output. 1)
Jitter reduction circuit for recovered HDMI audio clock. 1)
True Bypass option for all analogue input.
7.1 Bypass input.
Trigger outputs for remote control.
New Audiolab 8200 series front panel design incl. New LCD Display
Various Software improvements (incl. renaming of input). 2)
1) These upgrades should be available to existing 8000AP customers and will involve a change of core chassis.
2) These upgrades will be available to existing 8000AP customers.

The 8200AP should be available Q2 2010.[/left]
