כפועל יוצא, Anssi, אחד המפתחים מצוות הפיתוח של XBMC עדכן את הדרייבר Alsa בלינוקס עם השינויים הנדרשים.
כרגע התמיכה שנוספה לא נוגעת ל-bitstream של אודיו HD (אך כן ל-LPCM של 5.1 ו-7.1 ערוצים).
יתכן שזה כן יתווסף בקרוב.

Btw. (as of today monday) the following therefore works:
DTS 96/24
DTS
Dolby Digital (Ac3)
E-AC3 (including 8 Channels)
5.1 / 7.1 LPCM including 192 khz - for example if you have high quality 5.1 flacs, those are played in that format.
What not works for now is passthrough of:
DTS-HD and TrueHD (here something will happen during that week).
Those two formats have a CORE, which makes it possible to just play the DTS or AC3 track out of those. As you have LPCM anyways, just use this.
