זה מעין מחשב HTPC עם הרד דיסק ?
או שזה כמו סטרימר ?

והאם הוא יכול לנגן קבצי MKV?
ולגבי תרגום הבנתי שאין אפשרות כזאת נכון?

SageTV HD Media Extender הוא סטרימר המתמשק לשרת SAGETV ומאפשר את אותן פעולות (כמו צפייה בשידורים חיים וחומר מוקלט, מוסיקה ותמונות וכיו"ב) בדיוק כמו בקליינט מחשב רגיל.

בשלב זה העברית מופיעה בו הפוכה - אבל SAGETV פועלים לתיקון הבעיה.
כאשר העברית תסודר - המכשיר יהווה חלופה זולה, פשוטה להתקנה ושקטה (לחלוטין) לצפייה בחומר HD ובשידורי טלויזיה והקלטות - לעומת מחשב שלם (קליינט).

ui/use_texture_maps_for_3d_text=true
ui/load_complete_glyph_maps=true

(normally that first property is set to false to fix this problem)

ניסיתי את זה ברגע שהתקנתי את הגרסה 6.3.6 - והתוצאה היתה עברית מלאה! אבל...הפוכה...

they fixed it's somehow, but there still some minor problems with wrapped texts and mixed hebrew/english

מה לגבי נגינת קבצי AVI וקבצי MKV עם כתוביות SRT בעברית (בקובץ נפרד, לא מובנה בתוך ה-MKV/AVI)? עובד כמו שצריך על האקסטנדר HD?

There's a fix for the text wrapping issue in 6.3.8 (thanks for the good explanatory graphic). But fixing text that has mixed RTL + LTR characters we still have to look into.

אני רואה שיש לכם הצלחה מסחררת עם התמיכה של SAGE, סחטיין

אני כבר רואה את האקסטנדר מתכונן להגיע אלי (רק לקנות, לשלוח וכאלה)...

אולי גם תבקשו מהם הגדרה כללית לSTV שיהיה RTL או LTR שידע להפוך כיוון טקסט באופן אוטומטי בכל WIDGET.
זה בטוח יעזור לכל מי שמנסה לעברת ...STV's

לאחר בדיקה מקיפה של גרסה 6.3.8RC שיצאה היום -
תוקנה בעיית העברית בקליינטים ובשרת שחייבה להוסיף את השורה:
ui/use_texture_maps_for_3d_text=FALSE במקום TRUE (ברירת המחדל)
ע"י הוספת השורה:
ui/load_complete_glyph_maps=TRUE שמאפשרת תמיכה באותיות בכל השפות.

והחדשות המרעישות יותר - התיקון מאפשר להשתמש (כמו בקליינטים מחשב) באקסטנדרים - הישן SD והחדש HD עם תמיכה מלאה בעברית.

בכך, SAGETV בעצם צעדה צעד גדול קדימה (עבורנו, הקהל הישראלי...וגם כמובן בחו"ל) מעבר לתוכנות המדיה סנטר האחרות.
SAGETV מאפשרת קליינטים בצורת אקסטנדרים זולים (100$ ל-SD ו-200$ ל-HD) עם הממשק וכל האופציות האפשריות (כמעט) במקום לבנות מחשב ייעודי במחיר גבוהה הרבה יותר, עם התעסקות רבה בהתקנה וקונפיגורציה והכי חשוב....שקט מוחלט!
