[left]Considering it's a Pioneer picture quality is a bit of a let down when compared to the very best and it's typically power hungry for a plasma.
The standard definition picture is gently soft and there's some motion jerkiness but it is generally quite watchable. Freeview pictures are good, while high definition images were impressive. However, picture softness can be a problem and the screen image tends to darken when viewed from vertical angles over around 40.[/left]

[left]This excellent Sony 32-inch LCD IDTV breaks the Panasonic stranglehold on our Best Buy list with some panache. It goes one better than HD ready and is suitable not only for HD broadcasts but for use with high definition DVDs too.
Both standard and high definition picture quality is great but maybe not quite at the standard of the Panasonic range of LCD TVs. Still, the vibrant picture is awash with colour and good detail, Freeview looks great and high definition is especially impressive on motion sequences.[/left]

Picture quality
As well as subjecting our TVs to a barrage of technical tests, we use an independent expert viewing panel to assess picture quality under the same conditions in a dimmed, tungsten-lit room.
Brightness and contrast levels are set as equally as possible and the sets all receive the same-quality picture signal. The same experts take part each time, and we conceal the brand names. Sadly, Ofer Laor has not been available for professional calibration
We show a test card and 8 different video clips – each helps the experts assess a different aspect of picture quality, eg a moving train helps highlight problems with panning and movement. We also view the TVs in HD mode via satellite and have now added a test sequence for high-definition DVD players too.
Each image is awarded an individual score, and each TV an overall picture score. Picture quality accounts for 40% of the overall test score.[/left]

עופר אני יודע שזה לא ממש קשור לנושא (אולי רק קצת) אבל בכל זאת..
אני הבנתי שיצא לך לבדוק את המסך panasonic PH10, אם כן אז בטוח כיילת אותו...
אם כיילת אז אני מבקש אם אתה יכול לרשום את הערכים כי לי אין מושג איך מכיילים מסך
ניסיתי לפי yes impact אבל אני לא מבין מה צריך לעשות בכל תמונה..
אם כבר אני רושם אז זו הזדמנות לפנות לפורום, תוציאו כתבה איך משתמשים ב-yes impact ואיך מכיילים לפיו מסכים.

במצב כזה, סביר להניח שחלק מהמסכים במצב RETINA BURN MODE וחלק לא מכוילים נכון.
זה מה שקורה כשנותנים לאנשים מהרחוב לבדוק מסכים...

זה רק מדגיש כמה חשוב הכיול ... אפשר לקחת את המסך המשובח ביותר מהחנות
ולראות בו גרוע כמו מסך שמוכרים ליד מחלקת השימורים בסופר.
ואני שוב חוזר, מסך הקורו "60 שראיתי בויסקי א-גו-גו נראה לי גרוע בשחורים שלו.
אני מניח שלא כויל, כי גם באפלה גמורה הפנסוניק שלי בבית שחור יותר.
המסכים של ה-50/42 ממול היו מ-ד-ה-י-מ-י-ם.

במקום לכייל כראוי כל מסך, הם שמו את כל הערכים של ה-BRIGHTNESS וה-CONTRAST זהים.
...
זה לא מה שהבנתי מהכתוב, הם ניסו להשוות את את התוצאה בין המסכים לא את הערכים.

בפנסוניק דור 9, זה מגובה בנתונים (כל המסכים 1:10000 מלבד ה-"65 שהוא 1:5000 "בלבד").
בפיוניר כל המסכים של הקורו FHD הנתון הוא 1:20000 (ב-HDready 1:16000)
ולפחות העיניים שלי סיפרו לי סיפור אחר (כאשר לא הייתה תמונה, בין סרטי ההדגמה).
אולי המנגנון העמעום הדינמי איטי יותר, ואולי אחרי מספר שניות נוסף האור היה נחלש יותר ... לא יודע.
